General Cycling Discussion - What do you wear to SPIN classes?

Padded cycling shorts and jerseys or gym clothes?

Padded cycling shorts. Any workout clothes are fine on top, but I do admit to wearing sleeveless bike shirts most of the time. Silly really, but it works for me. Oh, and bike shoes with clips.

The seats are the worst bit of a spin bike. My backside needs all the help it can get.

Rolled up jeans, Misfits t-shirt, Adidas Sambas and a 5-day beard.

Tri-shorts (thinner pad) ...and any old top....no gloves

Nothing at all! I don't go to Spin classes. Why sit inside a gym to ride a bike? That's what outside is for.

I usually just wear my normal gym shorts and a t-shirt. That seems to be the general atire for the majority of the people there. Some do wear cycling shorts, but I haven't seen any wear any jerseys.

As for why go inside to ride a bike? I have a few reasons for going myself.

#1- It's a place to ride with a lot of others during those months when not as many people are riding
#2- It's a place to ride when it's pitch dark and freezing cold outside
#3- It's a place to ride when it's raining and I don't feel like getting soaked
#4- It's a place to supplement my training with different drills.

I could go on and on. Maybe not all others like spin classes, but I myself have made huge improvements from going to spinning classes. It's made a big difference on my rides, especially climbs.

At this moment is either spinning indoors or no riding what so ever. I love my 45 mile commute but with the state of Denver's streets and trails it is just not worth it. Snow, ice, and tons of potholes are stressing me to the point that complete burnout is possible. In fact, riding last week was so stressful that I developed several cancer sores. Yuck.
Anyhow, this is what I have a gym membership for. So, I am parking the bike until Denver thaws out. No money for more appropriate gear. :(
Anyhow, while riding indoors is boring as all heck, it sure beats crashing my bike on ice or not riding at all. Cold temps are fine for me. Ice and snow is not.

I wear my riding shorts. But while I wear a jersey outside, the lack of moving air
seems to make them less effective. I usually wear a t shirt or something.
A tank would be even better. If you have something superlight for blazing hot days... try that.

Sometimes I take my water bottle and shoot it down my back, artificial sweat ;)

A lot of non bikers just wear gym clothes, some of the bikers wear their shorts and a plain cycling jersey. We get pretty sweaty so I wear shirts that wick and cropped work out pants most of the time. The seats are cushy compared to my bike seat so no need for the bike shorts unless the occasional riding up (wedge) makes you crazy! :)

Cycling shorts (w/ pad), socks, shoes (SPD), gloves. Muscle shirt for the babes. Sweat band for my eyes.

I save my bibs for the road, where I'm in the saddle far longer than I am in spin class.

If you need artificial sweat, you're in the wrong class.

I've been wearing my cycling shorts and cotton T but there's not much air circ in the room so I think I'm going to start wearing a dry wick shirt.

Man, spinning is one heck of a work out!

Why PAY for spin class? I use my own rollers in the comfort of my own home:D BTW I wear cycle shorts when riding rollers.
