Hello folks
I am in the processes of rebuilding a bianchi axis with a campy veloce group. Since i _really_ plan to use the bike more for commuting with some occasional trails (and little to no racing) I want to use a stem with a negative rise but doing this makes the brake line pinched really hard between the stem and the hanger. Do you guys know where I could source a brake hanger that has more drop to keep the brake cable from getting so bent?

Thanks

Alex

...negative rise...so...drop?

If you go to an LBS that can buy from Quality, they have one (I believe it's by Dimension,) that drops pretty low.

Before doing that, though, I'd recommend trying to run the cable along the outside edge of the stem. So like, if it's your right brake lever, run the housing so that it approaches the cable stop from the left side of your stem. That seemed to help on my most recent ride, on which I am running mustache bars. That said, my bike's FG/SS, and I like errant housing, so you might find it goofy looking.

Or, just get a stem with rise. You're commuting on it, anyways.

er yeah. negative negative drop!
turns out the LBS had a deep drop hanger branded "Interloc" that looks ugly but is definitely doing the job!

Thanks.

As for getting a stem with rise, even on my way to work i dont want to feel like I am riding a stationary bicycle. I mean I usually commute with an aluminum track bike! ;)
