Just a little update for all the members who have been helping me choose a bike over the last week or so.
I got a Trek 4900. I was really in the market for a Cannondale f300, but I went into my LBS and he showed me the 4900. I sat on it and loved it right away. It's a 16.5" (42cm) frame and it fits me perfectly. Some of you may know I was looking at the small frame Cannondale but after riding a few hours on my new bicycle, I'm definitely glad I went for a larger frame.
The owner of the lbs was very friendly, and he gave me a great deal. Pretty much a 4900 for 4300 prices. His prices were the best around, and he is nearby my house, so that's a plus. A great all around experience.
I absolutely love my new ride, and can completely understand the passion you all have for this sport. Sorry for the long post, but I'm a little excited. Thanks to all who have posted in my threads, everything helped out a lot.
