FYI, Serotta will have there demo fleet at Sundance in Agoura Hills next Saturday 2/3. If anybody want to test out a $10k+ bike at their leisure, this is your chance. They have a good mix of bikes to demo, from the base models all the way to the top of the line.
I had the opportunity to meet Cleave yesterday, super nice guy, in Seal Beach where he was test riding the Ottrott and Meivici, one of these days i'm need to ride with the LV group since they start only 1/2 mile from my house.

Hi Bob,

It was great meeting you and your other riding buddies. Any time you're interested in checking out our club rides let me know.

I liked the Ottrott but I really liked the Meivici. Now I just have to assure myself that the Attack will ride similarly or try the Attack that King's has. :)

Just spent a very long and successful day at the velodrome. I feel like I rode a century but I didn't ride a lick.

You can email Serotta James to find out which tubeset is on the Meivici you rode. It was probly 6.5 which is one of the 2 that are available tubesets on the Attack. You can get the Attack in all 8.5 tubing, which is stiffer, and a 6.5 fork. I think that would make a better race bike. Too bad that HSG carbon they had was too big for you because that is how that one was set-up. I think they were building some bikes at Sundance that were going to be added or put in Sundance's inventory, plus they stock way more Serotta's then King's does, which are all available to ride on Saturday.
I find the 6.5 to be too soft for me. I have rode a Meivici with all 6.5 and I rode Tom's Meivici right after I got off the 8.5 HSG. Tom's is a mix of 6.5 up front and 10.5 in the rear, I still like the all 8.5 bike better. I also agree with you that while the Ottrott is a very nice bike, which i'm lucky enough to own one, the carbon frames would be my choice for a race bike.

Serotta is having a Grand Opening in Chicago, on March 3rd, and was thinking about going. Is there a usual window of time that they would have bikes available for rides, such as a 12-hour window from 8 to 8?
And would there be any anticipated package deals at Serotta Grand Openings ... such as a discount for purchasing a custom fitted bike?
