General Cycling Discussion - Closest bike shop to Desoto, Texas

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
As I stated in a earlier thread my wife is in Texas right now. She is staying in Desoto. She would like to find a bike shop to visit and maybe pick us up something from it.
Today she tried to find Richardson Bike Mart. By the time she got to the area it was past 5:00 pm and the shop was closed and she never did find it. So I think Richardson Bike Mart is to far away for my wife to get to on time after she is done working for the day, gets back to the hotel, has a shower, etc.
So is there a bike shop closer to or in Desoto that she could visit and check out? If there is please give location, web site link if there is one and approx. distance from Desoto if its outside the area.
Thanks.

There's a Bike World (www.desotobikes.com) in Desoto on Beltline. It's a pretty decent shop.

So much nostalgia it isn't even funny. I lived in Cedar Hill for 6 years and before that I had lived in Arlington for 5 years. You will find THE nicest people in the world at a place called Debo's Bikes (the owner is John Debo). They have a location in Arlington located at 4261 W Green Oaks Blvd in the same shopping center as a CiCi's, Marble Slab and right across from a Jack in the Box. They also have a location in Grand Prarie (though the Arlington store is much larger and nicer) at 2330 S Beltline Rd. The shop in Arlington is far nicer than the one in Grand Prarie, but the one in Grand Prarie would be closer to Desoto. Either way, you're going to find extremely friendly and knowledgable people who know their bikes. As a matter of fact, Jerry Debo became a long-time cycling buddy of my dad's before we moved and we still keep in contact from time to time. I would highly recommend them.

Your wife must've tried to get to Richardson Bike Mart on a Sunday -- that's the only day they close at 5 p.m. They close at 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.
RBM is worth a visit simply because they have such a fantastic selection of bikes and gear.
