I am about to order a new wheel set for my mountain bike and I am wondering if I have to take into consideration the A-symmetrical design of my rear wheel.
Right now I have a Bontrager Mustang Asym rim with 8 speed STX-RC hub. The offset is 2.5 mm. and I am wondering if this is something unique and that I should order the same wheel or something similar?

Thanks,
Gordon p

I wouldn't think so. The hubs all have to be in the same spot(Spaced to fit the dropouts) and the rims all have to be in the same spot(centered between the stays at the brake) within the frame. That offset is just to change the dish in the wheel to make it more even and give a stronger wheel

Thanks, that makes sense. I did not want to pay good money for something that may not work.
