Advocacy & Safety - A Step in the Right Direction

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

There was not a bicycle involved, but a motorist that caused a crash that resulted in a death may be charged with vehicular manslaughter. Only a misdemeanor in CA, but it's another step in the right direction for holding people accountable for negligence.

Now the really sick thing is that vehicular manslaughter carries the same monitary fine as littering... $1000.
While littering is ugly, it seems to me that a human life is "worth" a lot more.
