A friend of mine has what I think is a Cannondale XS800 1999 (I will see it tonight) http://www.cannondale.com/bikes/99/model-9XS8.html His bike can be seen here http://www.designcorp.com/bikes/P4.html after an injury and not having the strength he once had, he would like to have a “3 chainwheel crank” put on. Is it possible? If so what kind? He had asked once at one bike shop and was told it would not work. They said it had something about too tight of a fit??? Any other advice? Would not mind spending a few hundred bucks or so if he knew it would work. Would you also have to replace the Ft. derailleur, chain, cassette, etc.?? Thanks
