Starting a new project, steel lugged 29er mountainbike. I looked into the EBB but didnt like the reviews I was reading. I want to run disk brakes and a few companies sell a slider system that mounts to the horis=zontal dropouts and your tire and disk brakes mount to this system. Most Ive seen have closed horizontal dropouts and I am building with open backed dropouts. Anyone thats had any experience let me know.

Have you checked out Steve Garro's stuff on the Coconino Cyles site? He does a cool disc setup that works with the open ended horizontals. Basically, it's slotted caliper mount, pretty slick imho.

Thanks for the input, seems to be a pretty slick setup. I must have to say I was looking for just the systems that work with the dropouts. Thats just because that might be above my framebuilding ability.
