Ahh...the sun is out, the air is warm, the girls are out with their skirts, it doesnt get any better than this. Does it?

Anyhow....i figure this would be the summer of weight loss. Ive put on quite a bit of muscle from lifting over the last 3 months. Now that i will be living on my own this summer, i will be able to eat whatever i please, as far as my budget will allow me.

As far as my workout schedule goes, i plan to lift every evening and bike/run on alternate days.

As far as my diet goes, i plan to have cereal and protien shake for breakfast. Small Sandwich for lunch and for dinner, some pasta with tomato sauce and chicke. I figure i eat that after my evening workouts.

As far as what to eat, what can you all suggest that i eat with a limited budget?

My goal is to lose 25lbs from now till end of august. My main problem seems to lie with dieting. I stopped doing cardio at the gym b/c i have ADD problems when it comes to stationary bikes. So i figure i start running since i could work on my heart rate and stamina.

If you want to lose weight, I suggest 'eating big'. That means eat big mass/low cal stuff, such as broccoli, fruits and vegetables in general. With most of this stuff coming in season you should be able to pick up a lot for cheap. Also, clip coupons like mad! I live off of cereal, make sure you get good cereal though, ie wheaties or something over fruit loops. Good luck

Whole eggs are cheap with good quality protein and plenty of nutrients in the yoke.Canned tuna is a cheap source of protein and fairly low on mercury but still don't overdo. Whole oats and brown rice make good affordable complex carb sources.Good fat sources are walnuts and flaxseed. And of course for summer you want plenty of high water and nutrient content fruits and vegtables(fresh/inseason is usu. on sale).Go with nutrient dense whole foods as opposed to processed foods and you will end up having to eat less to get needed nutrition.Protein shakes with some of the above ingredientd added to balance out make good meals for summer months(to save money buy the protein in bulk-5lbs. or more).

protien is not problem here. i got 3 x 12 buckets of isopure protien that ive been using for 2 months now. i got a really good deal on them and bought 3. i think im more concerned with that kind of food i should be eating for my 3 or more meals a day.

What I was saying is that I often add oatmeal/fruits /nuts etc. to a water-based blended protein drink and count it as a whole meal.Otherwise just chose nutrient dense foods like those that have been mentioned and figure which and in what proportion(protein/carbs/fat)works best for you.You may also want to give yourself a few rest days/wk from the weights if you plan to up the aerobics enough to burn significant fat. Also remember while a surplus of calories is required to add muscle at least a slight deficit is needed to lose weight.
