does anyone know of any good methods for getting out grease stains from clothes? most of my pants have grease stains from touching the chain. simply washing them does not seem to work at all.

If you know anyone in the UK ask them to send you a jar of Swarfega. It is best to use it before washing the clothes.

Lestoil is good.

Go to the local auto parts store and get some hand cleaner. GoJo is a good brand. Put some on a cloth and give it a scrub.

It works great on those little "accidents" on the carpet before the wife finds out.

thanks for the help!

does anyone know if someone makes a lower leg wrap of some sort to protect from chain grease on pant legs? i've got one of those velcro ankle straps, but it's when i stop and accidentally bump my leg into the chain that it's getting stained. i suppose i could make one myself out of some fabric and velcro straps, but it seems like something that should have already been invented. if not, maybe i'll patent the idea!;)

Have you thought about a pair of walking Gaiters that come up to about knee height? Something like this perhaps

i got black chain grease all over the back seat of my friend's car when we squeezed my bike in there. in our haste, we weren't careful and we literally dragged the chain on the fabric for about 2 feet on the seat. my friend was horrified. but i tried this stuff my girlfriend picked up from the local duane reade called 'stain-z-out.' poured it right on, let it soak, then wiped it off with a paper towel. large chain grease smear COMPLETELY gone! i used it on some of my pants cuffs too where there were some grease stains. just put some on before i stuck it in the wash. those came completely out too. stuff is amazing.

the bottle says 'as seen on tv' so i guess they have an infomercial running, but i've never seen it.

Resolve cleaner works great on auto upholstery (sp?). Anyone got any tips for jerseys? I somehow managed to get grease on a jersey and can't seem to get it out. Anyone tried gojo in that situation?
