The only reason I signed up for Herbs ride is because I thought there was food and a t-shirt, bike jersey or something :)
P.S. You can throw in those Pearl Izumi MP3 shorts if you like.

Pie and ice cream, YUMMMM! It'll go well with the desert scenery. Then hot chocolate with the beach scenery!:D

Oh, and Herb, the free shorts do come with Queen Helene for the chamois, right? I prefer the fresh coconut smell!:p

Weather forecast looks good for both Saturday and Sunday next week. They are forecasting clear skies with normal temps.
Remember the hill climb competition on Sunday for you hard core riders. 11 miles with 3300 feet of climb.

Julian, I admire your tenacity in promoting the ride. I have no doubt that it's a good one! Unfortunately, I rode Stagecoach this year and it was far, far away! So, although I'm not going to join on the Tour of Borrego & Julian 7500, I will consider it next year. I hope you get a great turn out! :)

Ya it is out of the way which is good and bad. Long ways to drive but not one stop light in Borrego and not too many stop signs.
It is probably best to plan a weekend out of the deal instead of a one day epic drive. Plenty to do in Borrego and the facilities there are good including camping and lodging.
We don't get huge crowds either, nor are we looking for them.
