General Cycling Discussion - Body Fat / Hydration / Weight Scales

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Looking for a good accurate affordable Body Fat / Hydration / Weight Scale. Do you own one and how do you like it?
Tanita's are the "gold standard". Mine's 5 years old, and still going strong. It measures to 0.2 lbs, and is very consistent.
That said, any scales that estimate body fat produce rough estimates only, and their readings can change hour by hour (because they are dependent on your state of hydration).
On "normal" mode, mine tells me that my body fat percentage is around 20%. In "athlete" mode, it tells me I'm at 8%. According to the "Navy Method" (http://www.he.net/~zone/prothd2.html), I'm around 12%.

I also have a Tanita that works okay. If you weigh yourself at the same time every day and keep up your hydration, you can figure out which way you're going in weight and body fat. If you don't, the results won't be very good.
