Hello everyone.

I've been riding mountain bikes for 3 years now. I have a road bike but it's only for when the trails get wet. It's much too dangerous on the roads around here to ride a road bike much. (rebuff coming in 5...4...3...2...1...)

Anyway, what brought me to this forum was the need to find some information on a tandem bike I just purchased. I was directed to your tandem forum and here we are.

There's a mod here named That Forum Guy and he has a tandem mtb that is pretty cool. Keep an eye out for him. He's pretty nice and knows his stuff! Welcome to Bike Forums!

Howdy D! Aint gonna get a rebuke from me but I have thousands upon thousands of miles on the roads in Dallas with nary an incident in over 30 years or riding! Get the roadie out and do some of the RBM or Plano Cycling group rides. There is safety in numbers.

Do you ever ride with DORBA? If not, you should check them out. Back in the 90s when I rode MTB more, there were quite a few MTN tandems in the group.
