For all the wonderful people who helped me through critique and encouragement in developing and the final Phase 1 completion of both sites, a big sincere thank you. I have now finished the solid foundation to the web sites to both expand and develop more in the near and far future. I like to think of these web sites as a message bottles in a huge sea of cyber space. I do not expect a great deal of interest in folding bikes at present. The tipping point has not occured over the large part of the planet yet. But I think someday, maybe soon or perhaps years in the future, the need to know the basics of folding bike ownership from Selection to Upkeep will happen. And photos are needed to add visual interest and fine detail to this World Of Folding Bicycles. That is why I have 2 separate sites. They are both interrelated to and complement each other. Yet each one stands on it's own as a educational tutorial means of experiencing the best of these bikes have to offer. And if anything should happen to me, I would like to think these sites will continue to educate and entertain people long after I am gone-as long as Yahoo offers these socially responsible opportunities to communicate to others in a non commerical manner.
The new features offered as of February 1, 2007 is as follows:
Geocities: I added a Site Map and a Help pages to assist in navigating my web site in more of a organized fashion. The Site Map is done in a flow chart design. I felt that one could visualize more easily what the whole web site offers at a glance (or a scroll). The Help page is a sample one layed out like a typical page on my website for easier navigation throughout my Web site. The Home page is also expanded.
The Selection topic has 3 new pages added. Pages 6 & 7 is about the importance of where to buy the bike. This step appears to be the most critical one of the customer's initial satisfaction of their new bikes. Page 8 is an essay on "The True Miracle Of The Existence Of Folding Bicycles." The real miracle is not whether folding bikes were invented, but maintains a strong market and meeting fickle customer demand by their manufacturers. Images added to the bottom of some pages for added interest.
Security topic has some images added at the bottom of the pages for some comical illustrations of what folding bikes have to offer-over the most over the top means of protection.
Links Page 2 is expanded with additional offerings to the outside of the websites with direct links to: Folding Bike-Compact Bicycles Web site, Bikes That Fold Web site, Chop's Website, Little Pixel's Website (plus direct blog link), and Bikes Are Not Toys Website.
