Southern California - Will be riding GMR on Saturday, 10 am

Gina has to work so she won't be there. A bud called and wanted to do Santiago Cyn for some hills. I said let's do GMR for BA training. He said ok!:D...He'll kick my azz for sure but I need the training.

Will be starting from the BoulderSprings side. 42 miles out and back. 5,000ft climbing.


If you would like to go, let me know so that I will make it a point of being there at 10 am. Otherwise, working till 2 am, I will take my time and drag my azz!:o

Oh man . . . I thought you were lookin for a Saturday ride but I guess you didn't like the Water Bottle Transit Co. ride sched.:D Now I have to make a decision, that is, if I can come.:)

I've done that ride before. Hmmm maybe the tour of the canyons,I'm not sure. GMR is right out my doorstep and my buddy wanted to ride so here we go!:D

If you come, don't be suprised if you end up waitng for me on your way up the mtn. I'm not in climbing form.....YET!:o

Boulder Springs (Rd, or street,?)

210 Fwy,exit Lone hill,North to Foothill(not Rt 66!..about 1/2 a mile above Rt 66)

Left on Foothill,right on Transit Center,left on Sierra Madre.50 yards to right on Glendora Mtn Rd. First and only signal is BoulderSprings.

I was thinking of doing it Sunday because I have 8 am ride Sat. and my son has a game at noon.

I was considering riding Baseline from R.C. to GMR to ridge road to baldy village down to mountain in upland back to R.C-- nice route, 20 miles or so-plus some easier spinning.. I'll probbaly see some or most of you on the hill..

So Mr. Beanz, where you going to be tomorrow morning at 8:00 ??? Or did you wear yourself out on GMR today ?? :D

Riding on the trail with GIna tomorrow. Today was the MOST beautiful day I've ever had on GMR! Felt great too! Getting used to my Cannondale double(53/39), I made mistake and climbed the first 7 miles not realizing I wasn't in my 25 cog. It wasn't too bad though!:D

Talked to some of the riders at the bottom on the way back and most of them do repeats of 2 or more. There was one rider who was a 'fixed gear' doing 3 repeats, jeez!!

Excellante day. We wound up starting over at San Gabriel Cyn. abt. 8:30, and came up the back way for a descent on GMR.:) What an unbelievably clear today.

You absolutely should, Serg. Baldy is very doable and breathtaking. Congrats on going up GMR today! :beer: I'm glad you guys had a great ride. :)

I've been trying to get him out there!:D.........He really liked GMR and wants to do it again too!
