Almost looks like he took on in the right eye! Egad!
I'd hate to have to pull 'em out. They've have to take that tough guy down with an elephant tranquilizer first!
I'd also hate to have him jump up to lick my face, or, worse yet, to do what dogs so stereotypically do: try to sniff my nether region. Ouchie!

My brother had a friend who had a pit bull. The dog's favorite game was to leap about 5-6 feet off the ground, grab a car tire hanging from a tree, and just hold on to it and swing. His owner would push him and he'd freakin' hold on and swing! Wouldn't want to have been caught in those jaws.

I love, and own dogs, but I have very little sympathy for pit bulls - especially when they get a come-uppance as a reslt of them going bezerk. I'm sorry for you if that's your dog, but hopefully the dog is not too stupid to have learned a lesson in humility.

Thats terrible. Poor freakin dog.
Pitbulls and other fighting dogs can be so stupid sometimes. No disrespect to anyone who owns one.

I wonder if he learned his lesson...
It could have been any dog who has never encountered a porcupine. I hate to see any animal suffer like that. I am glad the vet was able to fix the problem. Hopefully the dog now will avoid porcupines.
I worry about the pitbull breed sometimes myself... because its in vogue right now to own one, there are many shady breeders out there popping out pups deliberately with bad/dangerous behavior because people will pay for them.
This occurs as a fad with breeds on and off... rotties are suffering this fate ATM, before it was Dobermans, then it was German Shephard Dogs.
In any case, watching a pit bull explode a baseball or softball in its jaws is just scary. Amusing though.
