I've got a headache, scratchy throat, slight cough and a bit of a cold, but I'm going to force myself to pedal to work tomorrow.

The way I see it, if you're too sick to cycle, you're too sick to go to work.

General rule is that if it's just in the head, it's okay to ride, but if you have symptoms below the head, be very careful. It may be okay to be out, and you may feel better, but you have to ride very slowly.
if its just in the head for me i'll still ride. if its in the throat too i won't ride in cold because the cold hurrrts. if its in my chest then heck no in the cold, in the warm maybe but i wouldn't ride too hard. i'd leave an extra 30 mins early and take it really easy.

I'll ride if I have a headache, but anything more and I won't bother.
You bet.
Watch where you toss the snot rockets.
I just got sick for the first time in 2 years, took 10 days to get over it. I really have no choice but to work while sick so may as well ride too as it makes me feel better. 7 sick days do not go far.

Quick up date. I did NOT pedal to work today. :( I got little to no sleep last night and woke up feeling much worse. Man I hate being sick.
Bummer dude, shoulda rode.
side note ---- there is a big ol fire @ 15 and el cajon bl. WOW it's goin big smoke.
I felt a bit sick yesterday. Tired, a bit of a runny nose. Coughing a bit. But I check my RHR every morning, and yesterday it was prefectly normal. I felt better today, and still had a normal HR, so I got on my bike. No problems so far, and I felt better after than before!
But, my throat wasn't sore and I had no fever. Otherwise I wouldn't have done it.

Generally if you have symptoms but feel like riding it is okay. If I only have a scratchy throat most of the time I just need to exercise and get my body temperature up and I can expel the congestion. If you feel really bad or have major cold or flu symptoms I would not exercise because it can make you sicker. Sleep helps me much more than exercise at this point.
How am I suppose to get my fill of OJ or see the DOC?
Shoulda, woulda, coulda. :)

I ride with slight head colds, and I feel it actually helps in general, haven't had a bad cold in ages; but if it does move to your chest then avoid riding as your aerobic capacity will be severely decreased and you'll put too much stress on your body, probably making it worse.

Too sick to ride, means too sick to work. For me, that's pretty dang sick. I love my job.
Injured it depends. I have been known to ride many miles with a cast on one arm because of a broken wrist.
Last Wednesday I got my left thumb where it didn't belong in a hydraulic, log splitter. The pieces of thumb got sewn back together, most of them anyway, I think one got left in my glove. Went back to work the next day, but the thumb has been sore enough to keep me off the bike. I'll probably be back riding by the end of the week, maybe early next week.
Fever - No Ride.
Hacking cough - no ride
Chills - No ride
Nauseated - No ride
Unexplained Chest Pain - No ride
In the end you know your body best. If it does not feel right then don't do it!
