Hello. I have an old Schwinn with a .889 size stem, and I would like to replace the handlebar. How do I know what size the clamp is? What size handlebar can I get? There is no marking on the handlebar as to what size it is. Thanks

Welcome along. It's next to impossible to answer your question without more info. What kind of Schwinn? Any idea how old? Can you post a picture of the stem and bars? Are you certain about .889? Some of my Schwinn stems are .833. I'm certain we can help you out.

It's a 1982 Scwhinn Le Tour. Sorry the stem is .833. The handlebar is a Sakae Randonneur.

Cool. My 82 is my daily workhorse.

I believe that the bar size is 1" - 25.4mm. I'll confirm tomorrow (it's minus 3 here and windy. No way am I going to the shed tonight!)
