I think it's sick and bizarre, but in a cool way!;)
I want one.... why the upside down chain tensioner... ?Did the frame work better that way?

I can at least answer that one. Due to the pedals being behind the driven wheel, the power side of the chain is on the bottom. Is that FWS, RWS, or both? I haven't figured out yet exactly what the intended purpose is, either. Beach path cruiser, perhaps? Doesn't look very comfortable.

Hi Floyd,
Just think of a regular stand-up bike's RWD set-up and what you would have to do to get it to work as a trike's FWD. It would work one of two ways;
1) Right side up, with pedals in front of the wheel, or
2) Up-side-down with pedals behind the front wheel
...I chose option 2 because I don't like the idea of chains and other mechanical parts being so close to my moving parts.
I have thought more than once of building something like that but have not had the initiative to get with it... so now maybe,,just maybe I will look again at my scrap pile and pull out what I need.
Course I will have to wait for awhile, my shop is not heated and it is winter here in Kansas...

Go for it Floyd! The glowing steel will keep you warm.:D
BP, this RWS trike is best at being a stunt trike. It's best stunt is also in it's name: MJM PowerSlide
V3 It's ride and performance are extreme to say the least. It feels a lot like flying a plane, when you turn you can pull more G's then if you were driving a car. Straight line performance is high due to it's recumbent set-up and super small forward profile.
This seat design hides a 3/4" layer of high-tech foam that's very kind, even to an injured lower back, but I don't recommend doing stunts if you have a back problem.
Do you live in Florida?

My son used to have one like that 20 years ago. They called it a "Big Wheel"!:D

OK, it must be similar in concept to this:

Looks fun, but I'd probably lose interest in a day or so.

Yea, I heard some RWS cycles can be scary at speed. The hot tip with this design is to pull both steering levers towards you slightly as your speed climbs. I also find myself interlocking my fingers around the tops of both levers. This gives total control over the rear wheels.
I also set them up with a little extra + toe for the newbies. The toe is user adjustable, so as they get used to the RWS it can be adjusted out for max speed, or left alone.
Hehehe, Woodlark, If Dr. Frankenstein dug up the adult corpses of a Big Wheel and a Green Machine this is probably what he would have welded together.
