Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - Talk about a bike on no ones radar

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Check this out. I'm curious to see how one rides.

Calfee has been doing those for a couple of years, they were all the buzz when they first came out. Actually suppose to ride very nice, however they are a bit heavy. A bit pricey too... you'd pay several thousand.
Yea I saw that. I have bamboo across the street from me, and it doesn't cost 2 grand.

Actually, they use a carbon fiber bonded lug, or a Hemp fiber bonded lug assembly;)

I won't even make any type of comment about the joints using hemp. Way too easy.
I do wonder, though, if they'd thought of wrapping the joints in tobacco leaves and calling it the "blunt" edition???
But hey, if you got stranded in the wilderness, you could always burn your bike for firewood to stay warm.
