whats the purpose of barends?

FitRider 921

To save your bars from getting smashed up... to make your bars more comfy to grip if you put your hands on the ends of the grips.

Keep dirt out of the bars, keep your grips from ripping and sliding off, keep the bars from scraping you.

To keep your bars from impaling you.

That too.

also they make you fall when you use them on mountain bikes, theyll catch on everything they can

You are so ****ing dumb it's incredible.

If you fall because of barends on a mountianbike you have no purpose on a bike.

But have you seen the size of some of them on mtb? I wouldn't be surprised

Handlesbars take detailed core samples of your stomach, if they dont have barcaps.

I'm a sponsored DH rider, of course I know how big they are.

They give you more hand options on climbs.

Well aren't you a fancy pants, who are you sponsered by?

wethepeople
02-04-07, 04:37 PM
Maxxis, Cyclepath and Azonic.

Maxxis and Azonic are team sponsorships though, I get items well below cost.

FitRider 921

Everyone that frequents these forums know who I am, but you are a newbie to this section of the forums.

I did freeride, to many close calls made me take up racing, then I started to BMX.

And Smittyben, I have nothing against you, just your stupid posts.

Never said they were stupid, I said you were stupid.

They dont make you fall.

A bar end on a BMX is a plug to stop from getting a core sample of your gut when you fall, a bar end on a MTB is to gain hand positions when climbing.

You give mis-information.

Plus, what do you have to say about my analisis of barends? Am I still wrong?

FitRider 921

This thread is supposed to be about bar ends. I think you should go back to talking about bar ends on bmx bikes. I will not post anymore on this thread.

So, now that your beaten you go and tuck your tail between you legs and run away like the ***** that you are.

You came in and pretended to know what your talking about. When somebody corrects you dont give them guff, I can ****ingwell garantee you that I know more on damn near any subject regarding BMX or MTB's.
