Hi everyone!
Just a short intro to say "Hi". I'm 52 years young, live in Melbourne, Australia and ride an '07 Specialized Hardrock Pro Disc. Love the bike, and after a few years away from cycling I have returned. I bought my wife a ladies Hardrock for Christmas and she is really enjoying her bike. I want to have a go at some low-key XC races so need to get lots of kilometres (or 'miles' for our British and U.S. friends!!) under my belt. I've decided to buy a road bike for fitness training and had a look at the Spec Allez Comp, Giant OCR C2, and a Bianchi Via Nirone yesterday.... Instantly fell in love with the Bianchi in the Celeste colour so should pick it up next week!
I'm a retired Air Force Warrant Officer Engineer, currently in my final year of a Bachelor of Arts Degree (double major in Psychology and Criminology) and work part time supervising Court Ordered parent visitations. Well, that's me in a nutshell and I look forward to becoming actively engaged on the forums. Thanks for the warm welcome, Joe!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
