Mountain Biking - Psylo, Black, Marzocchi - 210 lb guy

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Ok if you all could give me some feedback. I am a 210lb aggresive XC rider maybe freerider (building 03' enduro). I was considering a:
psylo race
manitou Black Elite/Super
marzocchi - no friggin clue
I like the adjustability and lock out features of the RS and Manny. But I know I am going to have to dish out 50 bucks to get the stiff springs for both. What does Marzocchi make that competes with these in the same price range? I visited thier website but I would rather hear "the peoples" opinion.
Oh yha, I am not really looking for a fork I have to tune on a weekly basis.
You could look at the Marzocchi MX Pro with ETA, the ETA is not lock out but cuts out ALOT of the suspension so it almost acts as if the fork is locked, alot of people have given it great reviews, the fork costs around $269 but you would have to replace the springs like you already stated.

The fact that you are considering freeriding I would not get anything but a Marzocchi if you want a single crown fork.
Also, for your weight I would suggest getting one of the Z1 series because the air forks wont last if you do decide to start freeriding.
If you still want to get an air fork then any of the Zochs will work for you. The ETA works great and their forks are stiffer then the others.
The problen with us heavier riders, durability. Unless you have money to burn durability and performance should be what you look for. We have to give up a few onces to get stuff to last.

Marz Z1...for all the reasons dbd said. Z1 Dropoff is pretty reasonable. I fint my ecc (last years eta) pretty useless so far though :)
