I was wondering if anyone here knew of a good cooking class in NYC or some other places. My dad and I want to take a little vacation and I was looking at a cooking class. I am actually mostly doing it for my dad because I am trying to get him to learn some basic skills, and some different foods. (Some things he just wont listen to me about, So I\ figured maybe a teacher will do the trick!) PLus I always like to learn some new culinary tips.

So anyone got a good idea for a day or two class that would cover maybe some basic techniques and then a couple dishes? Any other citie ideas would be great too.

Thanks

The Inn at Essex Junction in VT... they're the hotel/restaurant of the New England Culinary Institute. I was up there last 4th of July. Just one word of caution: bring your fat jeans! After spending a few days there gorging on all the incredible food, you'll need them!!

Here's the link to their "Chef's Package": http://vtculinaryresort.com/specials_and_packages/specials_and_packages_winter.cfm#chef
