Well I am from the Metro Detroit Area, currently unemployed got laid off in Feburary, Bought my Giant ATX880 back in 1995 for something to do and get some exercise on. One of my brothers has a Trek MB and a Road Bike and he was the one that found the bike and a deal on it. Having really no idea just how I should be positioned to ride the bike I thought I would get use to it but never have. Road it a little the first two years but never got comfortable on it because of the position I am in when riding. Since I now have some time I am hoping to correct this. I am not sure just why but when I am on the bike it feels like I am just about ready to go over the handlebars when sitting. I am looking for some information on just how I can correct this. SInce 1995 a lot of components have come out and so my questions as are what is in my post on the General Discussion Board is how do I get the handlebars heighten a few inches up and since I ride on both cement/black top and some trails I am looking for a good all around tire that will work for both. I did find a set of slicks 4 years ago but they are only 1.5 wide and was hoping for something in the 2 inch width for tires. If you check my other post it has the components that are the bike currently so as to give more detail information. I am just hoping to use this bike more often this year. Any information on this would be appreciated. Thanks...
am a novice when it comes to knowing much in the way of components and which will work for what I hoping to do...
