how can you just bENd two saddles already from sitting on it????? not like you've been doing any massive jumps or epic rides on them right?

...told you to get a santa cruz. hehe

Oh man, how do your questions keep getting stupider and stupider? You'd think that learning about this whole biking thing would, ya know, educate you.

Titanium saddle... Jesus Tapdancing Christ...

Running off the curb doesn't count as a jump.

still, if you were doing the jumps... you wouldn't be sitting on the saddle while landing. when you land, do you really let the saddle absorb your landing??? because, that'd be just stupid, use your knees to absorb it, and you won't break your saddle. how else would a jump put pressure on your saddle, leading it to break.

plus, if you're doing over TWO HUNDRED jumps a day... not so sure i would want a ti saddle. i'd rather get a heavy duty jump saddle that has a bunch of cushioning.

Get an i-beam saddle, I love mine as it is very stiff and doesn't bend. You do need to absorb the shock with your legs by standing up, your rear end and your wallet will thank you.

gosh alumrock! have some commonsense! of course the rail broke cuz of the g-forces from the impact of rolling off the curb. excuse me, i meant the 4ft ramp.

lets start a poll on what will alex's next thread gonna be asking!

Alex, on Pinkiebike you said we on BF were unkind to you. Why do you come and ask us if we are? We've tried to help you in many ways and have been very patient. You've learned a lot here. We joke a lot and kid a lot but you DID get a lot of help from good people. Did you ask on Pinkiebike where they might not be so "unkind" to you? This is very much a slap in the face if you say that and then come back for more help.

But you still said bad things about the very people on BF who tried to help you. So because we have a more user friendly site you think that it's okay to badmouth those trying to help? That isn't very nice. You are biting the hand that feeds you.

I'd still use that saddle. Went through the entire summer last year with a cheap bontrager saddle that had a 25 degree bend in each saddle, finally replaced it in September.

WE are what makes Bikeforums.net, Alex.

Anyway, if you feel uncomfortable with the saddle, listen to the guys here who have been riding for a long time. Usually with jumps you use your knees as "shocks". Good luck and be careful.

+1 [you bad boy. fortune cookie say, bad boy go to jail.]

so you're admitting that you landed with your butt on the saddle after a jump then. right? how else would the saddle bend or break in your case?

should i just get another steel or aluminum (what ever it is) saddle or titanium?

alumrock12
02-04-07, 09:26 PM
i would keep it, depending on how bad it is. wouldn't wanna beef out 60 bucks on a ti saddle.

-lower your seat while doing jumps, that way if you land too far foward, you have space to balence out by lowering your butt towards the rear. if your seat is too high up while doing jumps, you could go endo.

do titanium seats bend?????????????????????????????
everything bends if you keep landing with your ass on the saddle.
i think that is what everyone or at least me is trying to tell you

alumrock12
02-04-07, 09:35 PM
this could be solved quite easily alextrot. just admit that you landed the 4ft 'hop' with your butt on the saddle. in addition, you're so fat with those hairy ass legs that you ended up bending/breaking your cheap specialized saddle. now you're crying about it and asking if theres a saddle out there that won't break under your fat ass. all you have to do is get a regular saddle and not land on it with your butt. i know it may feel great for that saddle of yours to stuff itself up your backside, but its really unhealthy. if you used your legs as suspension, instead of your saddle, you wouldn't break it. period.

mcoine
02-04-07, 09:37 PM
alex, you should have gotten a full suspension bike, then this wouldn't happen.

Dannihilator

Nah, then he would have bent the rear of the bike.

if you 'maybe once by accident' landed on your saddle, it wouldn't break.

http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=14747&subcategory_ID=10051
that one shouldn't snap, and you can actually land on your saddle, in case you 'maybe by accident' forget to use your legs. plus, it looks strong, yet not expensive!
