Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Why to not let someone pack your Messenger Bag

I was hanging out at a friends house and one thing leads to another and we decided to smoke a little. I tell him to grab some from my bag, he does, gets what he needs and puts it back in my bag.

On the way home I stop by the grocery store to grab some hummus and bread. I go to lock up my bike, swinging my baileyworks superpro to my side, I grab my U-lock out of the front billow pocket where I keep it. Well apparently that is where my friend decided to put back my stuff. The action of pulling the lock out sends my stuff flying through the air in slow-mo like it was a friggin movie. My bowl shattered right at the entrance of the grocery store will all the people around...I left pretty quick.

Don't let your friends pack your bag, or don't smoke. The latter is probably the better advice.

man that sucks, reminds me of a time my friend ordered a bong to my house and my mom got to it before i did.

Why I always just rolled joints, back in the day. Or rolled the tobacco out of a cigarette, filled the resulting tube with shake, and packed in a centimeter or so of the tobacco at the end with a pencil eraser. Suitable for travel, and all you have to do is rip off the filter...insta-bone!

Yup Yup... Best time of my life. Hiked this past season. March 2nd till August 4th. I recomend it to anyone, although there is not many chances to ride a bike along the way. I missed that.

i've always thought they should open it up for a two week period or what ever strictly to bikes.

I'm planning the PCT after I get my degree. Hopefully 2009. Actually come to think of it, degree or no degree I don't think i'm going to last in school that long. I'll be hiking in 2009.

I've started stripping a frame for paint. I find I don't need my bowl anymore. That chemical stripper gets you soooooooo high.

serioUsly! my thoughts are either a seatpost bong or a wicked steamroller integrated into the frame using a fork leg or your downtube.

if i made my own frames i would definitely already have one (and i'd imagine some hippie colorado frame builder already has to have already done this).

I've done some decent desert mountain hikes in west texas, I found it best to wait til back at camp, eat, wrap in a blanket & watch the sky go dark & then bright again with stars, enjoy the stars & the radical temp drop, tha's the time to partake.

You could probably smoke out of your bike. Use the Water bottle bolts as a hole for the smoke and suck it up through the seat tube. Just need something to burn the green on and have it go through the hole. I'm not a smoker but i'd love to see pictures of this.

I thought about making a stash box out of the empty bottom bracket shell of the lower frame of my tall bike. I don't ever have anything to put in there though so I havent done it, plus the bike is broken now anyway.

I found a glass pipe once, it was floating in the lake. I took it home, cleaned it up, and gave it to my sister, because I well... don't. It got dropped off a table at my cousin's house about a month later. Aunt comes in and asks what all the tye-dye glass is.
