Foo - Bike Forums and "The Sixth Sense" ("I see dead people.")

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

If you haven't watched the movie yet, please stop reading this thread. I don't intend to talk about its plot, but someone may do that and spoil the end for you. :)

One more thing: if you intend to watch 50 first dates (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0343660/) (which I recommend), do it after watching The Sixth Sense (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0167404/), because the former gives away the ending of the latter. It made a lot of people mad! :p

I really don't want to ruin the movie for anyone. :)

I watched The Sixth Sense for the second time the day before yesterday. Next to the end, when the boy is finally telling his mom his painful secret, I couldn't help but think about Bike Forums...

...and the whole bike helmet debate! :fight:

Damn it, Advocacy & Safety (http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=8)! It almost ruined the end of the movie for me. That was the most touching scene in the movie, the conversation between Cole (Haley Joel Osment) and his mother (Toni Collette), the one which almost made me cry.

By the way, you're right, closetbiker (http://www.bikeforums.net/member.php?u=4906), cyclintom (http://www.bikeforums.net/member.php?u=39052) and chipcom (http://www.bikeforums.net/member.php?u=40363). We can't rely on bike helmets.

Glad to see you posting a thread, Roberto!

Both are very nice films. I did see "The Sixth Sense," but never got to see "50 First Dates" since I could not go out at all between early 2004 and late 2006. Maybe I'll see it on DVD.

I like your allusions to BF. :)

Did you happen to catch my link to the Brazilian husband of my friend? Check this out: http://www.myspace.com/flaviodellisola

[Edit: 1:42am - I suspect that not many have responded to your thread since these films have already played here in the U.S. at least two years ago, but mostly because Joe Gardner and Shadiyah just announced their engagement about an hour ago. See http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=266830. :)]

No, I didn't. I've never heard about him though. There are a LOT of musicians in Brazil.

Oh, I saw the thread as soon as he posted it. I'm happy for them. :)

Did you check out his music at the link? He sings, so far, exclusively in Portuguese, and he's currently working with Josh Groban in Europe. Groban will be singing in Portuguese! Flávio is currently living in Lille, where my friend works. She's Belgian. They may end up moving back to Brussels in a few years, which is where his career in Europe started. I really enjoy his music, which is influenced by a number of musicians.

Nice signature, by the way. I first heard Roxy Music in '82! :)

Six sense nearly scared the geebers out of me. (since people are talking about old folks, I decided to act the part for a change).

I think someone should post that picture of the person with the helmet as proof in A&S that helmets don't work... :D
