View Full Version : Diego dreams

Evidence that I am spending too much time on the Web:
Last night I dreamt that the Diegos were real, and having been banned from BFS50+ had scattered across the Web and were causing consternation on various Internet forums. So much so that they had become a pop cultural phenomenon that merited a mention in Time magazine. I also found myself meeting (or seeking?) one or more of them at their home somewhere.
I did not do drugs, drink, or spicy food before bedtime, and I am not making this up.

Los Diegos are as real as you want them to be. :) It would be poetic justice if the Diego bashers had that same dream every night for a couple of months. It might make them think twice before they tried to ram their standards down everyones' throats.

I think I saw a web (or was it Webb) site advertising the Flying Deigo Brothers as the opening act for Spinal Tap's Annual Final This-Time-We-Really-Mean-It Victory Tour. The unsinkable Diegos are riding bicycles from one gig to the next.

I've been having the same problem since the temps dropped below zero, I keep having dreams of San Diego. ;)

I went into Superpages.com and did a people pages search for listings with a surname of Diego. I got 289 hits plus 86 unlisted phone numbers and it cut off the listing with first names of "G" due to an overflow. Based on this I think we can assume there are well over 1000 Diego households.
In a search of people whose first name begins with a "W", no Webb Diegos turned up. However there are two households listed simply as "W Diego" and there are two Gary Diegos (but both at the same address, so it may be just one with two phone numbers). There are also two Carmen Diegos.

In my dream, Fonzie Diego was on water skies and jumped over a shark.

It's good to have dreams. My dream - no more whinning in this forum. A call to Rush Limbaugh or Al Franken is the appropriate place to whine. Or maybe sports radio or Jerry Springer.

Yep, coulda been cabin fever. Been @#$! cold here. It's 12F right now - that's our forecast high.
But we're off to Mazatlan in a few weeks. Hope I'll dream of that in the meantime.

The ones who started the whining are the ones who got Los Diegos banned. I think we have an Ellsworth Toohey (http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/fountainhead/terms/charanal_2.html) lurking on the forum.
Here is some cheese to go with that whine

Odd they should still visit and perpetuate off-topic threads...
(I liked the Toohey reference.)

I figured that when I got the bill, I'd just treat it like one of those traffic tickets you get in the mail from some camera they mounted on a light pole, and send you a picture of a check. :D

"There must be some way out of here" said the joker to the thief
"There's too much confusion", I can't get no relief
Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth
None of them along the line know what any of it is worth.
"No reason to get excited", the thief he kindly spoke
"There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke
But you and I, we've been through that, and this is not our fate
So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late".
All along the watchtower, princes kept the view
While all the women came and went, barefoot servants, too.
Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl
Two riders were approaching, the wind began to howl.
...
And THAT settles it. Go for a ride.
