I saw that Pheard, a member of the Clyde weight loss database has met his goal of dropping below 200 pounds. Since he's also a Foo member, here is the thread to give him KUDOS on as well as his award certificate for becoming a Clyde Emeritus! Congrats, Pheard!

What are you talking about? I eat pizza, ice cream, and every horrible thing under the sun still. I just use portion control, and a little bit of exersize. I have no idea why I keep losing weight. But I aint' complaining.

Thanks Tom for the thread. Sorry to leave you clydes behind. :p

I have to start introducing some pushups, situps, pullups into my exersize. Right now all it is is cardio. Anyone have any suggestions on good starting points for these things? Should I just do as many as possible until fatigue hits? Every other day?

Well right now I am doing the stairmaster for an hour three days a week and on the bike five or six days a week. That seems to help me lose weight. When I was really losing my weight (from 220 - 170) I was doing cardio about two hours a day plus weights. The key is burning more calories than you take in. Just don't start burning too much muscle or you will defeat the purpose.

snowy
02-06-07, 01:25 PM
I do 5-6 days cardio (at least an hour) and 2 days a week weights. :)

Pheard, you need to eat better then chips, chocolate, and chocolate milk. Your getting SUGAR, SUGAR, and SALT, and more SUGAR.

Try eating some fruit, veggies and put some balance in your diet.

Lastly if your diet works for you then thats GREAT!! :)

Yup, as long as he isn't losing muscle and gaining fat. ;)

But just a few minutes of any of the above seem tougher to me than running several miles or biking for 90 minutes. No fun there.

You're right snowy, I was just gloating a little bit. Honestly, I haven't eaten anything today that has any nutrition, and I feel sick to my stomach.

I don't do cardio everyday because I feel tired alot. I've been meaning to ask someone about this, maybe my diet has something to do with it. Every day midday I get super tired, I feel like passing out, and I can barely keep my eyes open. It's been happening for like a month now.

A lot of people that exercise take a short nap in the afternoon. It seems to keep them going. By short I mean 30 minutes to an hour. Just enough to recharge a bit. Also, if you get into a normal routine of exercising you will actually have more energy. Of course this is dependant on your diet. You have to eat somewhat healthy.

I have actually lost weight before while eating pretty much nothing but little debbie snacks for breakfast and lunch. It didn't mean I was getting healthier.

Pheard - it is your diet - and does diabetes run in your family? Pretty classic carb crash you are describing. Your body will deal with it some, but not for long. After a while, it gives up with a whimper and you can't believe how fast you can gain weight.

Think of it this way - the junk is just fuel - the rest is the building blocks for your body. Better make sure you eat right now or as you get older, you aren't going to have much of a body.

Hmm "ITS YOUR DIET". Your feeling sleepy cause of the amounts of sugar your intaking. I might know just about this alittle.

Try to cut out the processed foods/sugars. Believe me this will help. Also, you said you feel sick today.....thats cause you haven't eaten silly.

Here is what I have eaten today so far.
Breakfast. 3 egg whites
1 cup of Kashi Lean cereal
Snack. 1 Apple with some natural peanut butter
Lunch. Tuna sandwich, cottage cheese yogurt, carrots

See its a huge difference. :)
