Hey guys. I'm flying out to San Diego next week (Feb 13-17), and I'll be able to take a day to go biking. If you had one day, where would you go biking, and where would you rent a bike? I've never ridden on the west coast, so I'd want a good representation of what you guys have out there. Within an hour driving of San Diego would be ideal. Thanks a lot for any advice.

Start this thread in the SoCal regional subforum, and there's 10 people that would've responded by now. But, where're you staying? North of downtown (just East of Pacific Beach) is the Rose Canyon preserve, with trails all over the place. In Poway, there's Sycamore canyon. Up in Escondido, there's Daley Ranch.

However, to see San Diego by bike, go rent a beach cruiser in any beach town (Ocean, Pacific, Mission, Coronado) and just ride around.
