I was out for a solo ride today, feelin' good. I looked down and realized my red shirt, yellow "Lance band" and the black and red handlebars were all part of a color scheme. Then I realized my entire personna (bike and outift) was red, yellow and black, including the water bottle. Had to stop and get a picture of me. I will try not to let this happen again.http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k87/tomfrady/CIMG0032r.jpg
Looks good to me and everyone should see you, have fun.

Accidental? My sources tell me you spent three hours putting on new handlebar tape.

You should go out immediately and buy a pink or bright green waterbottle to prevent this from happening again.

I have a lovely purple anodised water bottle cage (offered gratis to anyone who will take it off my hands!) that will immediately dispel any pretension to OCPness, if you so desire.

No to be OCP you have to have multple sets of gloves whose colors matches your jersey choice for the day. The color coordinated water bottle is good though, can't see your shoes but a nice set of Sidi giants which are black with a red logo would match quite nicely.
I'm confused. I thought the coordinated look was the reason we ride. ;) Despite what anyone else thinks, I like riding in clothes that I like to look at. In one way this makes no sense, since I can't see myself all that well, but coordinated colors look good to me. At least your brake/derailleur cables aren't red and yellow.

Looks good to me, too. I think one almost does it subconsciously. I was on a ride last Fall and somebody asked me if I liked black and yellow. I told them "not really, why?" After pointing out that my bike, tights, vest and gloves were all black and that my jersey was yellow along with a black and yellow helmet and shoes, I conceded that maybe I did. :)
I thought it was on purpose so you could be seen....
Great photo!! Now, if you can find a red or yellow saddle, tires.......it just never stops!!

Well then, I will never have to worry about being OCP. I have black shorts, whatever ratty T-shirt is available, and a yellow jacket, all on a blue bike.:D

Oh yeah, man, you got it ALL goin' on there. Looking good!
I have found, over the years, that my wife has really trained me in the art of color coordination.
It's disgusting, what I've become :(

The only flaw in your scheme is the lack of color anododized spoke nipples. My heart flutters to think of how fabulous, simply fabulous you'd look if you had those wheels rebuilt with such. As long as we're on our way to a make-over, how about red and yellow contact lenses for the super-fab look.
P.S. Lose the boring cable housing. Pink would be just the contrasting touch.

Looking good! My wife has the same bike, I like the handlebar tape. Might have to re-wrap hers. And what about yellow rims? And you need some yellow on the helmet!

Yes, and the really scary thing is that somehow I have wound up with two of the evil things and I can't even give them away.
They don't match my red hair at all.

It's strange - in that pic you look exactly like a guy I ride with, down to the beard. He really DOES coordinate his clothing with bike. If he weren't such a nice guy (other than that serious flaw) I'd have put him out of his misery a long time ago! I still might.

They are both yours for the taking :D . Just remember that they are evil, and they clash with red hair.

If you posted this pic on the road forum you would lose at least 3 OCP points. Bottles are different, helmet mirror, and seat bag.

Jet Travis is right. My LBS sells Continental tires (Therefore, that is what I run). He gave them to me.

We've missed one eliminating feature: last Serious Cyclist I saw out on the road who had a beard was the old guy on the rusty Huffy stopping every few feet for aluminum cans. Mojo, please tell me you still have most of your front teeth.

In addition, mandatory deductions for a non-drive side pic as well as no white garage door in evidence. Also, valve stems should be indexed so as to be hidden from view behind fork/seat stays.

Thanks for the additional photos of the old truck and car. I don't know why, but that sort of thing catches my eye and then the imagination starts taking over, wondering....
