Stage 5, the Individual Time Trial (ITT) on Feb. 23rd, is shaping up to be the turning point that will most likely determine the winner of this year's Amgen Tour of California (ATOC). The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) is sponsoring a HUGE Gala dinner on Friday, Feb. 23rd in Solvang after the ITT. There will be lots of awesome prizes e.g. signed jerseys, posters, team items and appearances by numerous cycling celebs. The tickets ($100) are going quickly as they are extremely limited. Interested? Here's the official Solvang LOC website (http://www.tourofcalifornia-solvang.com/gala.asp) where you can order tix. 100% of the proceeds help defray the cost of sponsoring Stage 5 of the ATOC. All 18 teams and 144 riders will be staying in the Santa Ynez Valley from Friday until Saturday morning when they head to Santa Barbara for the start of Stage 6. That makes Solvang the place to be for serious cycling excitement!
