On Monday it hit 65 here, after snowing three inches last week. It has been cold since before Christmas. Yesterday was 72 so I called it a day after lunch, took the MTB to the Fort Richardson SP, and did 20 miles on Lost Creek trail. My first time in shorts on a bike since last August, before my second shoulder surgery. Only problem was some mud on the trail and the bike is wearing slicks which gave me a few exciting moments on the steep, but short, hills on that trail. I already have more miles in Februay than in all of January.

For my friends up north...hang in there...spring is coming.

I was almost thinking time for shorts here at home, but then I realised that that was wishful thinking.

Still, it was in the mid 40s this morning when I went for a ride. There was a sunbreak. Now it looks as if it will rain later.

Spring is coming, just not soon enough.

I've been loving this N Texas weather these last few day! (Insert grateful huzzah here). I've been able to commute each day as well as get in a couple of pleasure rides. The daffodils are dilling. I can smell spring around the corner. Glad you were able to get sunburned!

Had to travel to Flint MI this week and even colder here than St. Joseph. With the nearly 40 inches of snow we have had over the past couple of weeks, it will be messy as all get out when it finally does warm up. I am SO ready for spring.

Ahhh, baloney, it was windburn... Son wore shorts yesterday when we went for a ride too. It was 65, and judging by the wind, we were breathing air that only a few short minutes ago was in Texas and may well have been the same air you rode through. Sheesh! But it did make the ride home fun.
