Is a pocket Crusoe the same as a Crusoe?
Are BF frames all the same or are they fit to the rider?

That just showed up on the Bike Friday Yak as well.

Pocket Crusoe is the same as a Crusoe. The Frames come in different sizes. That is the length of that main tube changes. So you should be in the ballpark, in size, of the existing owner. You can buy a new stem from Bike Friday to "customize" the fit if the existing stem doesn't work for you.

I have no idea about price. You might look at historical sales of Fridays on eBay to see what they fetch.

If in the market, I would consider $800 for this, but BF owners seem to expect (and get) near-new prices for their used bikes. I don't imagine that the owner would consider offers of less than $1000 to be "reasonable".

I'd be willing to consider a higher offer if it included things like the suitcase/trailer or touring racks.

Hmmmm, with such little usage ... it probably will go for a $1000. Maybe a little more. Particularly since the frame has a lifetime warranty.

Isn't the warranty only for the original owner?

For any BF, if it's not tricked out but very plain-jane, I'd go for their regular $700 bike unless you specifically want a Crusoe. One difference with the custom models is that they come with bigger headsets (1 1/4" as opposed to 1 1/8"), but the Crusoe seems to have the same thinner seat stays as the Pocket Tourist. Because of this, I'd view it as a wash since you're not getting the beefier seat stays of the NWT anyway. With a new bike, you also get the lifetime frame warranty.

Or you could just offer the guy $700. The worst he can say is "no."
