Classic & Vintage - Classic/vintage-style seatpost options

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Assuming I don't find an appropriate seatpost for my Casati (I need a longer post than many of the one's on the 'Bay), what would you recommend as a new seatpost with a slightly more "classic" look to it? Thomson?
I believe Kalloy makes reproductions of the SR Laprade fluted seatpost still. And there are still plenty of original SR models around as well. A little heavy, but certainly has the vintage look.
Thomson is probably a decent bet for a modern post. Anything with very minimal branding on the post and silver wouldn't look bad. I'm considering a Campagnolo Centaur for one of my steel frames.

what length do you need? nitto makes some nice, classic looking ones. velo-orange also sells a need atax one thats kinda interesting for its construction.
Also what diameter do you need - 27.2 or something harder to find?
Bicycle classics has a nice and not too pricey selection.

I got a 26.2 chromed-steel post from this guy on the bay. He has a very big selection.

The Nitto Crystal Fellow is beautiful seat post of simple and elegant design. Not sure if its period-correct, but I have one on my 1983 steel road bike, and it looks just right to me:
