Gorgeous bike!
Eh, you've seen one bike, you've seen them all.

Nice ride. How do you like the Arione Saddle? I have one, and it seemed pretty comfy, but I also got a saddle sore from it so haven't tried it a second time. Middle seems too high or something.

I'll bet that baby rides smooth as silk.
I absolutelty love how you went with the brown sidewalled Tufos to give it that retro look, even though it's a modern tire.
BRAVO!!!!!

Yeah, the aesthetic is a dynamic hybridization of old and new school cyclophilia as flawlessly executed in materials, colors, line and place of manufacture.
It screams, "You toucha my bike, annI breaka your face."

Nice bike!.. love the burnt orange and World Champs colors...reminds me of an Eddy Merckx paint job.
+1,000 OCP points for matching kits.
BTW, How do you like your Las helmet? Does the air scoop really work in keeping you cool?

Just a personal opinion, but I don't hink the aero seat post, and the one piece carbon bars match well aesthetically with the lugged steel frame. My taste would run to the first bike.

I was going to make this observation as well but I don't think the seat is too forward it's just that you have a set back seat post when it's probably not needed.
Ok aside from that I love it! I was real close to getting a Neo Primato till I just settled on something else. That is a beautiful machine and I am sure she rides like a dream.

Great looking bike. Your friend needs to lose the blue bartape, doesn't match his bike.

I agree, the cinelli ram bar and post don't match well with lugged steel, but I just love the RAM bar so much, it's so comfortable. Just use the RAM post to match with the bar.
I enjoy riding this steel bike alot, enjoy it so much that sometimes I race and do century on it.

+1. A steel bike says retro but carbon doesn't. Nice jerseys though.

I'm sure it doesn't matter as long as the saddle position fits.

Tell that to Vincent Van Gogh. These colors represent the cornerstone of the "Dutch" palette he popularized in the paintings of his greatest years.

From the honest comments above, I have swapped out the carbon post, bar/stem combo for alu post, bar, stem. And here is the updated (and downgraded) version

I liked the carbon seatpost/stem better. Although the setback seatpost was a bit awkward. I see nothing wrong in mixing technologies.

A little subconscious slip revealing how you really feel about changing from the carbon to aluminum seat post and handlebars? ;)
Beautiful bike though. Same goes for the red and white De Rosa that was posted earlier. Aesthetically, I like your new component changes better than the originals. I'm glad that you enjoy it so much. I'm building up a red and white Eddy Merckx MX Leader, and I'm really looking forward to putting some major mileage on it this year!

I think the CF looked fine, but thought the seatback seatpost looked awkward.
A seriously beautiful bike either way, though.

I always liked it with a Carbon Campy seatpost....

In fact. I liked this so much. I got one as well... I'll add some pictures when I get a chance to take some.
Lovely bike.
But I have to be honest, I think the black seatpost and stem are a better, more uniform look. It doesn't have to be carbon, but I would keep it black.
I hear Thomson offers both in black. :innocent:

+1. As much as I like silver on steel when used consistantly, I would stay with black seatpost on that build, considering all the other black componentry you have going on.
It was the Aero shapes that didn't seem to fit before, not the fact that it was black.
oh...and Nice Bike!
The bars and stem now accent your neo-classic rig...

They just had a Neo Primato for sale on bonktown for $1100ish. If they would have had my size it would've been a done deal.
I agree with BillyD, black is better. But, it would be tough to make that bike look bad. I don't mind the carbon either.
Regardless, beautiful bike.

IMHO it looks like so many other lugged steelies without the Cinelli carbon etc you had in the original photos...
