So, I really like the feel of a hardtail for aggressive trail riding and DH, but since my Steelhead has **** the bed I'm getting another frame and building it up beefy.

So far this is what I got:

Frame: 2004 Norco Sasquatch or similar model (Manik, Rampage etc)
Fork: Right now I have a 2003 DJ1, but I might be picking up a Stratos S8 Ultra
Brakes: Hayes Nines at the moment.
Wheels: Mavic 729 front and a 321 rear.
Hubs: Formula.
Drivetrain: Shimano XT rear dérailleur, XT shifters, and probably a Truvativ Box Guide.
Bars/Stem: Azonic Chubby bar and Azonic Shorty stem.
Cranks: FSA X-drive.
Tires: 2.7 Lobo's.
Pedals: Odyssey Jim Ceilencki.
Seat and Post IRD post and Azonic Love seat.

I think it'll be pretty sweet, as you may be able to tell I couldn't really give a damn about weight. Any suggestions on the build?

are you big on dirt jumping? because an 05-generation p.2/3 frame will fit your bill, but will also be a LOT better for the jumps. either way though, a stratos s8 on a hardtail is super sketchy.

DH/Aggressive Trail riding. The little bikes are my dirtjumpers.

This is the frame if anybody wanted to see...

Looks good...where did you get the frame from? I'm contemplating a similar build with my spare parts but haven't been able to find any cheaper Sasquatch/Manik frames.

Bought it off of a guy on Pinkdyke.
