Ya, I cant just lay on my back anymore, it sucks because now I have to be the one doing all the work.

EDIT for premium: Tried it, didn't work. They kept moving out of the way, plus they did nothing for the shock.

Lol, can you put the link to the General Lee. Also what kind of bike does your son have? How old is he?

here is the line: http://cgi.ebay.com/DK-General-Lee-24-inch-2007_W0QQitemZ130047347485QQihZ003QQcategoryZ98082QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

My son is 4years old. He has a cool little specialized 16". He hasn't let me take the training wheels off yet, but they are so bent up that they don't touch unless he is already falling. It is great watching him mash down the little trails at the public park. Now I will be able to show him a thing or two, before he is better than me, lol.

Just got an email from the shop. The general should be here on Tuesday. I almost bought my son the 16" version but the wife put a stop to that one.

No she just brings me back to reality most the time. It's hard when you see something you want then you realize you have to pay for braces for your daughter, big mortgage payment and all the other costs of living. So no hard feelings towards her.

Master Shake: I got rid of my teeth at a young age because...im straight, and teeth are for gay people...thats why fairies come and get them.

Meatwad: if teeth make me gay, then sign me up...cause i wish i had 'em.

Fed ex dropped off the general lee today. Very happy with the bike, feels good. Took my son out for a little cruise around the block, hopped some curbs, it is exactly what I was looking for. This bike seems rock solid so far. Thanks for all of the recomendations.

I did :).

Seems like a nice bike, just tilt your bars back so they're even with the fork and it will make the handling alot better. I've always had a soft spots for General Lee's, even though I snapped my 20" one:

Good tip, much easier to get the front end up. I can't believe I settled for a mountain bike for so many years, this bike is great. My kids are stoked because I keep asking them if they want to go ride.

Would you guys happen to know if the 2004 and the 2007 General lee 24" have the same geometry? My buddy wants one but can't really shell out the $260 and I found a 2004 for pretty cheap.

wethepeople
02-22-07, 05:39 PM
If they don't it will be a trivial difference.

The Tour de California rolled through my town yesterday and what a spectacle. One of the attractions was team maxxis. They set up in one of the parking lots and had about five riders launching off this 5 foot ramp. I have seen this stuff on tv before but never in person it was amazing. They were thowing all kinds of sick tricks, back flips, flaires, and one of them even pulled a front flip. Pretty damn cool. I have got to say this sport has progressed so much since I was involved in it.

Progressed or regressed?
