Now i dont want no mess about being a troll or this being a redundant ? cuz its not. I may be able to get a aerospoke and want to know how well it is compared to deep v's. It'll be for the front. Those who hate this thread, just move on and dont waste your time complaining about how foolish it is.
note: i know the v's depend on a good builder so saying i have the most expert builder, how would it compare to aerospokes?

additionally, you can read other conversations found within the annals of this forum area regarding these types of wheels (albeit not together, but I do believe these have been discussed before on their own). In reading up, you can make decisions based on what other riders have stated regarding durability, etc. Searching this area will provide not only a good amount of usable information, but also might show you a few new bits of info - you never know.
as far as "bombproof," I really think you should consider the overall usability of a wheel. If an aerospoke goes out of true, you are at a loss - either temporary for repair or permanently (i do not know their replacement policy, nor do I care. Check their website). With a spoke wrench and a little self-motivation, you can service a 32-hole spoked wheel.

'Bombproof' should also have an index assigned to it.
Bombproof would measure the incident of one moment of use vs Street Use the measure of these incidents over time
Ie Product 'E' has a Bombproof rating of 1.4, which can be extrapolated over time or differentiated to test the results.
It should actually be called 'Jumbo-proof'. That Scandanavian punishes products. I still recall him telling me how his crank snapped in traffic during Monstertrack. His track record of destruction is unrivalled.
Shimano is relatively 'unservicable' yet strangely popular.
Please buy Aerospokes so I can keep all the Campy/Hoshi wheels.

If you want a wheel that can't be trued you can't really be THAT concerned with bombproof. They look cool in that BMX plastic mag sort of way, so if you're into that sort of thing, go for it, but if you want a wheel that is both lightweight and durable go with one that has wire spokes. They've been making them that way for like 150 years. The vast majority of bike wheels made right now today are made with wire spokes, and there's a reason for that.

Not to be pedantic, but bombs destroy ****. The advantage of a rim/hub/spoke wheel is that you can repair/retrue, or replace the parts you've broken, rather than the whole wheel. Obviously there's the street gangsta factor, if you're into that.

The ellipse wheels are **** for racing, go to any track like forest city with steep banks not one of the big guys are running ellipse wheels, only the 140lb road guys would ride something like that.
The aerospoke cannot be trued, is heavy, and is carbon which can crack and be done. The deep V or any properly built 32+ spoke wheel should be bombproof for anyone under 200lbs.

well I certainly hope your wrong I am 220# and have elipses on my new bike >less than a month on the street all I have heard for friends is they are rediculousy strong for their construct

I have never considered that, but I'd rather try to true the wheel. You can always buy a new wheel, but, as for your penis.. you'll never be able to buy a new one that has feeling.
You could buy a fake, or someone elses, but nothing would be as good as your own.

FYI, having more spokes makes a wheel EASIER to true simply because the force is spread out among so many spokes and turning a nipple will have a diminished effect than on a low spoke count wheel. If you've ever tried to true a wheel with less than 24 spokes, you'd learn quickly that a minute nipple turn has a much greater effect.

I just got an aerospoke(too try and be a cool kid gonna paint it white to match my belt)
and I heard they were heavy ......but damn the thing weighs all most as much as my bike.
But I do look like a Helicopter and thats all that matters
and hell my aeroheads are pretty much bomb proof at 214lbs and I can true them when the get jacked
