right so there are a good 3 inches of snow outside and i cant ride and i have a hard session scheduled for saturday. I did 2 hours on the turbo on thursday and now i have taken 1 day off i thought rather than yet another turbo session on sprints i could use my forced indoor riding time to establish some numbers using my polar hrm i.e max hr lactate threshold etc what tests should i do, i.e. what are the protocols?
You could do the carmichael field test. There's a thread on it here:
Note that this is pretty painful if you are doing it correctly. I'm not sure if I could do it inside on a trainer.
