Okay,

Here's the scene (and I apologize in advance as I'm still on a lot of drugs from yesterday's knee surgery): I take some online college courses, play with photoshop now and then, burn DVDs/CDs, and have a fair amount of music that I like to keep on my computer. I'm not into games.

I'd like to spend less than 700 bucks for a laptop that's going to last me for another ~4ish years. The vintage 2002 Compaq Presario 900 that I'm typing this on works okay, but it's just physically starting to wear out. I'd like something without such pronounced image distortion when looking at the screen at odd angles, and with a little faster processor.

I'm leaning towards some of the Lenovo business machines...

I'd like at least 512mb RAM, internal wireless setup, USB 2.0 compatable, and an 80gb HD. I have an external DVD burner right now, but an interal setup would be a plus.

What say ye foosters?

Go to eCost.com and look at their bargain countdown and refurbished models. I have bought two HP laptops from them and have been quite pleased with the service, cost and quality.
