Agreed. I thought Generations was great, right up there with Wrath of Khan. And Nemesis was excellent, as well.

The you have The Undiscovered Country. A turd on tape.

Man, I'm gonna have to strongly disagree with you there.
ST7 Generations: Heaven is a ribbon floating through space named after a brand of shampoo???
Sorry. I put that one down at the bottom, only slightly better than:
ST 5 The final frontier: God floats around in the center of the galaxy but really isn't anything more than a powerful alien when you get to know him. (The worst ST hands down)
ST1: All hail the highly evolved space probe from several hundred years ago!

ST6 The undiscovered country actually had a good plot and was pretty well done. The prison planet went a bit over the top at times, but hey, it kissing a shape-shifter still ranks higher than going to shampoo heaven in my book!

ST4 with the whales was good - right up next to Wrath of Khan.
ST8 First Contact was also one of the best.
ST10 Nemesis was alright. Not one of the best, and probably the worst of the even-numbered films, but not as bad as some of the others.
ST3-Search for Spock was also halfway decent.
ST9-Insurrection wasn't nearly as bad as 1,5,and 7. Mostly it was just boring for a full scale movie. It would have been better as a two part episode in the regular season of ST:The Next Generation.

The second Conan movie, maybe the third, both so bad I can hardly remember. The first Conan the Barbarian was SO good it made the others seem that much worse.

2 Fast 2 Furious. It was a lame sequel. They could have done it sooooo much better.

Oh, I have another one.

2010: The Year We Make Contact was terrible terrible terrible. Doesn't hold a candle to 2001.

You should check out RiffTrax (http://www.rifftrax.com/), they do a pretty good trashing of The Undiscovered Country.

I think UC was the only movie I ever saw where Kim Cattrall didn't get naked.

Most sequels suck. There are exceptions, but almost all of them suck. A better thread would have been "Which sequels DIDN'T dissappoint you?"

I was really disappointed with Pirates 2.

Superman 3 really sucked.
