hi everyone, joined up a bit ago and have been reading alot of posts.

im 17 and used to bike a ton but stopped biking when my back wheel split going over some random patch of frozen ground..i also got my licence so i stopped :S

anywho, i currently have some crappy full suspension mtb that i bought for 400 canadian..its really a piece and weighs a freaking ton :D right now i left it out at a friends land and we usually go on trips through rough trails.

..and my other bike, a peugot, that i had locked up in storage for 3 years finally got shipped over from south africa. its a hybrid type and is really light compared to the other pieces of junk i have

but enough of the past, im planning to buy a road bike (of approx 1200$ value..) realy soon - mainly for going to school and back and naturally riding just because its fun :D

anyway..i have a few questions about the components in road bikes but ill post those sometime in the other forums.

later

Cool. Welcome to the forums. Let us know what kind of bike you're thinking of buying when you get the chance.

So, are you Scully and Mulder's bastard love child?

;)

Anyway, welcome aboard!

ah no it was a random name i found in some game, used it on a few message boards and was too lazy to think of something new :D

anyway, i was thinking of getting the Giant OCR 1, but going a bit cheaper and getting the OCR 2 or 3 might not be all that bad - seems that most people prefer not to go below shimano 105, but if tiagra isnt all that bad then it would save me plenty, and i could also sell it off eventually and buy soemthing better if all goes well.
