currently using the 710i with the PPP software.. seems that the exercise readings on the watch and after its transferred over to the program is slightly different( e.g avg speed. 25 on watch 25.5 after being transfered to software... distance... HR... n other readings ) ? Is this normal ?

Not sure as I foolishly got a 610i a few weeks before buying a bike..(doh!), but I wonder if the watch only shows two digits, but holds three?

What do you mean by the watch shows two digits but holds three? From what I know, the watch has 3 levels of display, the HR which will always be at the bottom and 2 other levels of display, which can be switched according to your preference.
As for the exercise readings, are you sure you read it correctly when you see it on your watch? What I have experienced is that if there is strong sunlight when the watch is communicating with the IR sensor, there will be abnormal readings being downloaded. The way to correct it is to reduce the amount of sunlight interfering the communication pathway by blocking the sunlight off.

I mean, does it report "25.0", or "25"?

ok let 's say the watch reading shows 25kmh as the avg speed but the transferred reading in the PPP software will be like 25.2 or 25.5 ... and same goes for the distance .. time in HR zones... etc

I'm not explaining myself well perhaps.... try this:
Load Excel
Type 25.2 into the cell A1
Format that cell to display no decimal points
the cell will display 25, even though it has the value of 25.2
In cell A2, enter the formula =A1x2
Format that cell to display two decimal points
So there MAY be a difference in the stored value, and the displayed value depending on how many digits are displayed.
