Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - Help with a couple of definitions

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, I'd like to know if anyone can tell me the definitions of the following bike specific words:1)peleton, 2)criterium and, 3)randonee. I hope you guys don't think I'm stupid but, I can't seem to find any one who actualy knows the proper meaning of these words. I've found MANY,MANY, people who use these words as if they know what they mean, but when I ask them to explain thier meaning they get tounge tied. I'm not beeing critical of them. I'm just trying to learn for myself. But, in my attempt I'm finding out they probably know less than me. If anyone can answer this question for me I'd certainly appreciate it. Peloton: Paceline in Pro cycling. TdF and the Gyro de Italia are Peloton races. Origin is the French word for a pack and is related to the English: Platoon.

Randonee: Randoneuring event or Brevet. Paris-Brest- Paris event is an example. In essence, it's a fast tour for time. It's an ancestor of races like the TdF or Race Across America....in effect a Super Randonee.

Criterium: Mass start road race on a closed road course.

but I don't care either
only roadies use them on a daily basis and that crowd can stay away from me
