Introductions - Hello, Noob here with a lot of questions.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi, new to this forum and pretty much biking for health all together.
I last rode about 25 years ago in the NAVY for basic trasportation around the base.
I know this must have been asked 1,000 times but what are the basics?
Please point me to the threads you feel are helpful and I will read them all as I search on my own too.
Thanks.
LJ

What do you want to do? Are you thinking of road riding? Go to the road forum and check the under $700 bike thread and then do a search for "Fit", as in fitting a bike to your body. There are lots of threads about training, but if you haven't been on a bike for years, the best thing is to just start with short rides at your own pace and have fun.
If you are over 50, or close, the 50+ forum has a lot of good information, too.
You could also find a good used bike for cheap if you know what to look for.

Welcome LJ.
Most of the forums have "sticky" threads. They'll have titles like "Sticky: ___________ ". Read through those and you'll probably find much of the information you're looking for.
You can speed up your search if you open a forum or thread and then click on "Search this Forum" (top right of each forum) or "Search this Thread" (top of thread, second from right).
And if you don't find what you're looking for that way, you can always start a new thread, in the appropriate forum, and ask you question(s). We're always happy to help noobs and long time members.
