Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Thanks to all who replied to my original post. Anyway just wanted to document my build progress.
Here is the frame/fork as I received it from a seller on EBay.

So far I have the following parts for the rest of the build:
- ITM Millennium Bars
- Shimano Ultegra 9-Speed STI Shifters
- Shimano 105 Brakes
- Shimano Ultegra 9-Speed Front Derailluer
- Shimano Ultegra 9-Speed Rear Derailleur
- Shimano Dura Ace 9-Speed Cassette
- New Shimano Ultegra headset
- Look A5.1 Pedals
- Thompson Elite Seat Post (Black)
- Fizik Arione Seat
Updated 2/22/2007
I finally have the rest of the parts to finish the build:
- Shimano Ultegra 9-Speed FC-6500 Cranks (Had the arms powder coated black)
- Shimano Ultegra 9-Speed Octalink Bottom Bracket
- Ritchey WCS Aheadset Stem
- Bontrager Race Lite Wheelset (Got these as a deal with the Ultegra 9-Speed components)
- Maxxis Columbeire Tires
- Profile Bar Tape (Black)
I decided to go with black seat, seat post, bar tape and cables. As soon as the bike is assembled I will post some pictures.

I won't dare to suggest wheelsets, but I would go with white bar tape and white cables. It would make it a nice light looking bike. Just my humble opinion, of course.

Yellow, go yellow all the way, a la Colnago Super. Yellow decals, yellow bar tape, yellow cables. Looks great against that blue (which, by the way, looks a lot like the Colnago Blue).

Off topic:
Ivan, can you get me a close, tight shot of the seattube lug, bottom bracket lug, the crimping of the right hand chainstay for chainwheel clearance, the fork crown lug, and one of the top tube cable braze-ons?
I dare say your DX frame shares a lot of similarities with the unknown-manufactuer Raleigh USA roadbikes from '83-86. The cable routing and long drops are a bit different then what I've seen on the Raleigh USA machines, but the crown, seatlug, and chainstay bridge treatment look very much alike.
Take care,
-Kurt

I'll try to get some shots for you.
That's one of the better-looking powder coats I have seen. (For the record, I am simply not a fan of fade-transition paint jobs, and I consider your monochrome to be a big improvement.) I, too, would vote for white cable housing, but white brake hoods and tape tend to get grungy pretty fast. Regular readers have seen my solution on my red-with-white Capo (pictured), although I do have a set of white Weinmann brake hoods ready for the white-with-red Capo.
I vote white tape and housings. White may get dirty faster than dark colors, but it looks 'right' even then.

As far as wheelsets: Ultegra/Open Pro. For the 9sp group you've got, and the classic look you want, couldn't get any better of a fit:

if it's the same as my dx5000 there is no crimping of the chainstay

Another vote for white/white:

What's that old thing doing outside? Repainting the wall it hung on?

Cuda,
Nice Gazellle. I even like the blue Vittoria tires. I've seen some of the Open Pros. I've also looked the a few sets of Mavic Cosmos. Both in silver and Black. If I do the silver wheels, white tape and cables will flow well. I think black wheels will go with black tape and cables.

Added new update (no pictures) tonight. I hope to finish the build the weekend. Check out the list on newly accumulated parts. I decided to do black accessories instead of white.

I'll try to get some shots for you.
Panasonic (National Bicycle of Japan) Built scores of frames and complete bikes that were Raleigh decalled in the 80's.
