This is amazing ... the front page our newspaper had 1/4 of the front page dedicated to bikes. There were photos of every type of bike; today is 'National Bike Day'. They also gave the brand name and the price as representative examples.
More than 100 people died when they were sucked out of a plane at 33,000 feet and they got about four inches of one column (page 1).
I always make fun of the Dutch newspapers ... they're probably no different than anyone else with local news sometimes being more important than the rest.
At any rate, these folks take biking seriously. I tried to provide you with a photo of the front page, but the web site http://www.brabantsdagblad.nl/regioportal/BD/0,2622,1363-Voorpagina,00.html did not show everything from the printed version.
